Remote Desktop in windows xp
Hi again, today am going to tell you about using remote desktop in Windows Xp
Requirements:
- Two or more Client computers with Windows XP Operating System Installed.
- Network connecting above host Computers.
- Start the computers which are used to trail Remote Desktop.
- let windows load completely.
- Before running Remote Desktop connection in any system, the system which is connected Remotely must be Remote Desktop enabled.
- To enable Remote Desktop
- Right click My computer icon.
- select Remote tab.
- Mark the option allow users to connect remotely to this computer.
- if you want even you can select user who can connect to this computer remotely.
- click on select remote users.
- click on add to add users,for Example i will add administrator here. check the snapshot below.
- click on add,type administrator(or specific user you need)
- press ok.
- again press ok.
- now click on apply and press ok.
- Now the computer is ready to access remotely.
- Now,let's see how to connect to this system through Remote Desktop Connection.
- Go to start---->programs---->accessories---->communications--->Remote Desktop connection.
- RD menu pops ups as below.
- give the name or ip address of the remote computer you need to connect. if networking is done properly you should be able to see the reply in other window asking for user name and password.
- give the appropriate user name and password ,thats it you are done with the job now. and you can start working remotely.
