How to Configure outlook for POP3

Hi again ,today am going to tell you about configuring Microsoft Outlook to fetch your mails from POP server.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

*AN EMAIL ID WITH POP3 SUPPORT FROM SERVER *MICROSOFT OUTLOOK *INTERNET CONNECTIVITY *A BASIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NETWORKING.

PROCEDURE:

*open outlook(note:am using version 2007 of outlook here.)
*if you are opening outlook for the first time you will be directed to creation of new email account,if not the first time then, go to TOOLS account settings.

*press new

*select account type (in our case it is pop,so select pop type)

*select manually configure server settings.

*choose email service(like pop3,http ,etc,.)


*press next to give the user name,password,pop server address ,smtp server address as below.

*after entering above details,press more settings

*set my outgoing server requires authentication.


* now go to advanced.if you are using SSL connection then give away the port details else leave the defaults.

*now press apply/ok

* press test account settings


*if you get the below screen then you are done configuring outlook for your email id.
